Another Brick Church med, and a strange one at that! This is the largest med I've seen from around here. It's over 9" tall, and completely dwarfs my other Brick Church med... Unfortunately my example has been tumbled and has a chip/crack at the heel. If anybody finds another, I want it!
I found reference to a D. L. Hawkins in Newark in 1871, and a D. L. Hawkins from Elizabeth patented a "dose register" in 1871 too. Nothing in East Orange (or Brick Church) though.
