Thomas Edison was really important to Essex County history. They're all local, but it can be irritating hearing someone say "I've got some Bloomfield bottles!" then seeing that trademark lip... The bottles are mostly common, but apparently there are ones with value. A BIM aqua one from Orange sold for $40 recently! I've heard the West Orange ones, which are the earliest, are also the most valuable. I've got a few variants, but no W.O. bottle.

I collect bottles from Glen Ridge, Montclair, Bloomfield, Orange, East Orange, West Orange, South Orange, Caldwell, Brookdale, and other towns of Essex County. Will buy or trade for them!

Here we have a recently acquired Edison "Diamond Oil". It's in a 1910ish early ABM medicine bottle. There's a 13 on the label, maybe a date code for 1913? The Orange NJ location burned down in 1915, so that's the end date for this bottle...

Seems weird that a "medicine" bottle held some sort of oil, but the label/cork/contents/dirt all look spot on to me. The sides of the diamond label were cut off to fit the bottle.

I just looked at 5 different Diamond Oil bottles on Worthpoint and all of them had the 13 on the label, it might also just be the number for the particular label...

Don't think these are meds. Lubricants.
I collect pint blobs, colored, pictured, Jersey and other states. Squats too.

Unfortunately I missed this. I normally only collect the cities in my area but I do have a little Thomas Edison collection. I don't have a 6oz bottle, this is the first one I've seen. Are there any others out there?  Curious to see how common/rare these are.

A little late, here's another version I got... An "Edison Diamond Grease" in a remarkably small amber screw top "ointment pot" type thing. It's seriously less than an inch in diameter. "W. T. CO." on the base. Some grease inside still!

The labs are still in Orange. Which ones burned down? I think the Round Edison oil bottle not pictured could be for the cylinder players?

This isn't what I normally look for but I've had these for a while. I collect other Edison stuff and when I mentioned these to Connor, he said they were worth sharing.

First is a slight variation of the more common Bloomfield 3oz bottle that is on eBay all the time. Below that is a 4oz Orange, NJ bottle with a nice purple tint. I have a 4oz Aqua one too but those seem to be more plentiful.
